In 1963, Heinz Schulz founds Metalúrgica Schulz S.A. with a team of entrepreneurs, including his son Gert Schulz, his brother-in-law Ronald Braatz, and friends Ovandi Rosenstock, Herbert Theilacker, Dorival Lother, Norberto Ritzmann, and Guilherme Urban.
This visionary team starts by manufacturing cast parts for the agricultural sector and household items at the metalworking company. Shortly after, in pursuit of new product lines with growth potential, the partners take a significant step that would become a milestone in Schulz's history. In 1972, the company shifts its focus to the production and commercialization of reciprocating compressors.
Ten years later, in 1982, Schulz achieves absolute leadership in the Brazilian market for piston compressors. Within three years, it becomes the leader in Latin America—a position it still holds today. This is the way, always driven by evolution, that Schulz writes its history with many challenges overcome and success stories to share. Follow the main highlights below in our timeline.
